Last weekend I turned my attention to the birthday of my own little boy as we celebrated Mercer turning SIX YEARS OLD! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by!
For ideas for his party I went straight to the source, and my baby was very clear about his expectations – to go fishing with his friends. It was a tall order, to be sure, but we were able to pull together a fun-filled afternoon on the water that was a splashing success. Even the threatening storm clouds overhead did nothing to dampen the spirits of these excited little boys!
Take a look below at all the fun…
Venue: “Chinaberry,” the family bay house
Printed Materials (invitations, favor tags & food labels): Ashleigh Barkley Designs www.abarkleydesign.com
Favors and Fun: In between fishing, playing corn hole, and whacking the fish piñata, our fishermen snacked on PB&J’s shaped like fish, “fish n rods” (pretzel sticks mixed with goldfish crackers), and gummy worms and fish in “bait” buckets. Before they left their afternoon at sea, they received a tackle box filled with gummy fish, sharks, and worms, to enjoy at home.
